A Women's
Treatment Center
The Anoka women's facility uses a
four-plex apartment building. This size creates a family atmosphere
which helps the 12 clients feel close and secure. This facility
is located on North Ferry Street, one-half block off highway 10
in the city of Anoka, Minnesota. Anoka Women's is a Rule 31 full service facility.
Cecilia Winsor is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). She is educated in women's therapy and values helping clients and staff. She is very knowledgeable in Rule 31 and shares her information freely.

 Each
apartment houses 3 to 4 clients with two bedrooms in each unit,
one single and one shared. Each client is assessed and their individual
needs are noted.

 Cooking
in the kitchen becomes an opportunity to learn and to teach others.
Living skills are stressed. Dining becomes an opportunity to communicate
while learning and sharing. Each cook is able to see their culinary
creations appreciated.
The
State of Minnesota licenses the counseling staff. Technicians are
trained to be able to observe and guide the clients in living healthy
lives. Transformation House is a Spiritual based program, which
approaches each person's life as a whole. Problems are addressed
and where there are needs not met by the program, referrals to appropriate
programs are made.
Qualifications
Persons who are in need of treatment for chemical dependency and have:
- Inability to abstain from chemical
use, or
- Loss and impairment of employment
due to usage, or
- Loss of education due to usage,
or
- Lack of family support, or
- Arrest/legal issues
Process
Step I
Intake process is by interview assessment.
Step II
Initial interview is scheduled and
upon staff and client's agreement and availability, a start date
is determined.
Step III
- Program outlined
- Schedule reviewed
- Individual program plan determined
Eligibility
- Adult females that are Rule 25
approved, private pay, or those who have insurance.
- Adult females in need of treatment
services.
- Adult females referred by probation,
social or child protection services to receive an assessment for
chemical dependency.
- Insurance coverage.
Admission Hours
8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday thru Thursday
