Transformation
House
A Treatment
Center for Men
The
men's facility is a huge four storied house located on the banks
of the beautiful, picturesque Mississippi River in the City of Anoka,
Minnesota. It is located approximately 15 miles NW of the greater
Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area; it is a transportation hub
of the North Metro area, due to the easy accessibility to the location.
This is a perfect place to find peace and serenity. The large well-groomed
lawn gives individual space to meditate and have some privacy.
The program provided by Transformation
House extends services in a unique homelike atmosphere. Services
provide for specialized care of adult men suffering from continuous
patterns of dysfunction due to the use of alcohol and drugs. Counselors
are also available who specialize in Cocaine, Heroin, Methamphetamine,
and Gambling addiction. Services are provided for any adult male
that qualifies.
Edward (Eddie) Whitaker is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at the Anoka men's facility. This is Eddie. He is the Supervising Counselor. He is full of experience and has worked in the field for 18 years. Being an excellent counselor here requires both a good sense of humor and a caring manner.
Marie Berglof is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at the Anoka men's facility. She is a counselor with a lot of common sense, and a good judge of character. She does a wonderful job helping clients see their denial.
Margaret Bearl is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at the Anoka men's facility. This is Margaret. She is LADC licensed and adds a touch of hope and encouragement.
Brian Dyke is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at the Anoka men's facility. He is interned and hired to counsel. Brian is quick to do whatever is needed to help clients do well in their program. He is a great addition.
Robert Sekora is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at the Anoka men's facility. He gives good stable and useful information to all of our Aftercare clients.
Office staff at the Anoka men's facility. We have the prettiest and most efficient Secretary, Intake Worker, Bookkeeper and Billing Staff.
There are also technicians at the facility. Technicians at the Mens House have gone through the program and are acquainted with the problems clients might have.

A
licensed cook prepares the meals which keep the clients healthy.
The menu has been approved by the
Minnesota Department of Health.
A cheerful smile and an encouraging word is given with each meal
that's served.
 Groups
are held in the living room. This is also the place where spirituality
is held weekly. When this room is not being used for groups, it
becomes a very comfortable and useful room to lounge and have a
conversation.
The
TV Room serves as a group and recreational room.
Dormitory
living becomes a chance to help others. Close living quarters, which
most men have not experienced, help men share their lives and learn
consideration for others. Many times integrating thoughts, ideas
and creativity takes place while relaxing and sharing space.
Living
and being around other people all the time demands some alone time.
This is accomplished by the use of the bigness of facility and grounds.
Fishing, meditation by the river and walks in the park, which is
adjacent, are all ways of escape into privacy.
